The Ritual of Care

Cashmere is a natural wonder—durable and self-cleaning when treated with respect. Over time, your throw will become even softer. We invite you to view its care not as a chore, but as an appreciation of an extraordinary material.

Air, Not Water

The best care for cashmere is fresh air.

The fiber possesses natural self-cleaning properties. Ideally, hang your throw in a shaded spot outdoors or in the mist of an open window after use. This regenerates the fibers and removes odors more effectively than any wash.

Resting Periods (Pilling)

With pure, untreated cashmere, slight pilling is initially not a defect, but proof of the material's purity. It is simply the shortest fibers working their way to the surface. Gently remove these with a cashmere comb. After the first few uses, the pilling will subside, and the blanket will find its eternal structure.

If Water is Necessary

Should washing be unavoidable, please wash the plaid cold by hand max. 20°C using a specialized wool detergent.
Never hang it to dry; instead, lay it flat to preserve its shape.

The Sanctuary

Before your plaid enters a period of dormancy, ensure it is perfectly clean, as unseen residues can attract unwanted visitors. Cashmere is a living fiber that must breathe; never imprison it in plastic bags. Instead, fold it gently and encase it in a breathable cotton or linen sack. Store flat in a cool, dry haven, using natural cedar or lavender as guardians against moths, ensuring it awakens flawlessly for the next season.
