The Origin - The Roof of the World.

Our story begins where other life ends. In the inaccessible highlands of the Himalayas, conditions prevail that make life nearly impossible. Temperatures that plunge to minus 40 degrees in winter. Winds that whip unchecked across the barren landscape.

Yet, it is here that nature’s miracle occurs. To survive in this hostile environment, the Capra Hircus goat has developed an evolutionary shield: an undercoat of incomparable fineness growing beneath its coarse outer hair. It is not wool in the conventional sense. It is an insulating layer of air—lighter than a breath, warmer than anything man could artificially create.


Our fiber originates in the remote heights of Upper Mustang, Nepal, at over 4,500 meters, where nomadic families tend small herds of often just 60 animals. Because a single goat gifts only 150 grams of the finest undercoat annually, every throw unites the precious yearly harvest of four lives.

The Slow Path.

We choose the slow path. Once a year, when spring reaches the high mountains and the animals naturally shed their warming winter coats, our harvest begins. The herders, who have lived in symbiosis with their flocks for generations, comb out the fine underhair by hand.

This process is arduous and time-consuming, but it is the only way to guarantee animal welfare and preserve the fiber in its full length and structure. We take only what nature voluntarily gives us.

From Rough Diamond to Aether.

The harvested material is precious, but not yet pure.

In an intricate selection process, we separate the coarse guard hair from the fine down (“de-hairing”). Only the longest, thinnest, and whitest fibers pass our quality control.

What remains is the quintessence: fibers with a diameter often less than 15 microns. For comparison: a human hair is nearly five times thicker. This microscopic fineness is the secret of Aether quality. When our master artisans weave this yarn, the result is not a fabric, but a tactile experience. A blanket that does not weigh you down, but embraces you.

Our collection is crafted in workshops that have preserved this heritage for generations. Every thread tells the story of its origin. We add nothing that nature did not intend. No harsh chemicals, no artificial softeners. What you feel is the pure essence of the mountains.
